The When, Why and How of using the Pelvic Wand

Hey MOT fam – Amy here continuing our conversation on some of the common pelvic therapy tools. I’m discussing pelvic wand usage. Not all clients necessarily need a wand or to consistently use a wand but it can be a great tool to help make progress on tension, pain or inflammation between sessions.

PSA – a pelvic wand is NOT a sex toy. There is nothing wrong with sex toys but this isn’t one and it’s important to differentiate as we don’t need to add to the layers this area holds with additional potential confusion, shame or barriers to embracing better health!

Check out our video below for more on the 4 reasons to use the pelvic wand.

  • Vaginismus
  • Painful intercourse
  • Buildup of tension/muscle thickness
  • Certain cases of incontinence

If you already own a wand but are struggling to feel confident that you’re using it correctly, please reply to this and I can send over a video we made on using the wand. You’re also welcome to bring your wand to a session and we can go over it in person to make sure you you’re getting the most improvement for your body!
