Janna here and we would love for you to join us in supporting men of all ages to take charge and set goals for their own health and wellness.  This could be as simple as scheduling an annual check-up!

Consider this:

“Up to 40 % of men won’t go to a medical professional until something is seriously wrong, with 60% of men seeing a doctor for a yearly, routine checkup. Further, 20% of men report seeing a doctor so their significant other or loved one will stop nagging them” according to Indiana University’s Helen Bernie, DO, MPH.

She adds, “It’s important to encourage men in your life to see a doctor. You can make an impact!”

Remember that when we talk about health, we are considering the whole person which includes physical and mental health…. things typically associated with heart disease, diabetes, cancers, depression.

Men have a pelvis too!

When we consider the pelvic region… we mostly hear about prostate and ED issues affecting urination and sexual functioning.

Other issues linked to pelvic floor:

  • Issues with digestion/gut health
  • Bowel movements or hemorrhoids,
  • Hip pain,
  • Groin pain,
  • Low back pain

….could also be caused by or affecting your pelvic health!

We have a free Men’s Health Guide on our website that we would love for you to have and share with any men in your life.

Often men are given a pelvic related diagnosis with limited options.  But here at Moment of Truth PT, we focus on issues that may be contributing to many of these symptoms; removing structural barriers and scar tissue present within the pelvic floor that can be contributing to pelvic symptoms.  We use visceral and fascial techniques to improve circulation and decrease inflammation.  And we provide the hope many men are missing…the hope of experiencing healthy pelvic function.

Any content included are meant to be educational and instructional. They are not able to diagnose or treat a specific issue and are definitely not a substitute for a professional evaluation.
