Did you know that April is National Stress Awareness Month?

Stress Awareness has been observed every April since 1992 to raise awareness about the causes and treatments for stress. It’s a time to discuss the impact of stress on daily life, and to remove the stigma around mental health.

We all know that stress can be debilitating and cause or aggravate health problems. Long-term stress can affect physical health, such as:

*  Heart disease
*  Insomnia
*  Digestive issues, and 
*  Immune system challenges 

It can also affect mental health, such as:
*  Anxiety, and
*  Depression

Managing stress is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Learning to cope with stress and find healthy ways to deal with it can help people live healthy and positive lives!
