Also known as Sit-to-stands, which will make sense as you watch the video! I think people hear “squats” as an exercise and imagine this – heavy weights, someone already strong, squatting deeply – you hopefully get my point.
There is a LOT of space between doing nothing and doing this. I love helping women, especially pregnant women or new mamas to bridge that gap. This video is a great first step towards having a stronger squat, starting with a very manageable movement that carries over into tons of functional things you do every day: getting in and out of your car, getting on and off the toilet, getting up from chairs easily, all things you need to be able to do and often while holding your child.
There is always a way to make activity and exercise safe and enjoyable for any level of strength or fitness. So whether you’re feeling really out of shape, had a baby and aren’t sure where to start or are a crossfitter recovering from injury or baby and want to get back to hitting PRs, I’m here for you! From baby steps to squatting your body weight, you can do it and I’m here to help!
