One of the most common questions I hear as a pelvic floor therapist:

“Is this normal?”

And underneath that question, there’s often another one…

Is there something wrong with me?

So much of pelvic health starts with simply becoming familiar with your own body — without judgment, comparison, embarrassment, or shame.

Because when you know what’s normal for you, you’re more likely to recognize when something changes — through pregnancy, childbirth, hormones, aging, or simply life. And you become much more comfortable talking about your body, asking questions, and advocating for yourself. Your pelvic health shouldn’t be a mystery. And your body was never something you were supposed to be embarrassed to know. 💗

One of the best things we can do for our pelvic health is actually know our own bodies — not just how they feel, but what they look like, too.

Familiarity builds confidence. Confidence makes it easier to notice changes, ask questions, and advocate for yourself.

So grab a mirror. 😉 Getting to know yourself is healthcare, too.

Seriously – when I’m asked if things look normal, it’s most often into how things look in and around their vulva. Only you can know your normal folds, lumps, skin tones and textures. This is critical for taking charge of your own health.

No Settling. No Suffering. No Shame. This is not just a cute tagline – it’s a motto that we care deeply about. From your first call into us and Shanna reassuring you that TMI means “tell me everything” to a discovery session or your evaluation, we strive to make sure you feel seen, heard, understood and validated. Education is QUEEN👸as we know there are so many things we are never told about our own bodies. But at the end of the day, you know you best and our ultimate goal is for you to feel whole and trust yourself!

Much love,
