What matters to you? When faced with a situation before you, what do you see?

If you were on the train in the picture, would you see the amazing view or the tunnel wall?

I really wanted these pants. Loved the colors and the fabric. But they only had a small. I tried them on and they pulled weird across my hips. A year ago these would’ve fit. I had a moment of sadness, especially since they were only $28. I won’t lie – I don’t enjoy these extra 10-12 pounds that have appeared on my hips and muffin top in the past year, despite not changing food or workouts.

But I choose what goes in my mouth. I choose the thoughts I think and the things I say to my body. I’ve worked hard on this level of self love and know it’s critical to practice what I preach in this arena.

I very specifically stopped my mind and just told myself I’d try to find the pants online (no luck yet – free session to anyone who finds them in a medium- brand is Love Poem). Then we moved on with our amazing day in the mountains shopping, enjoying the weather and being with my family.

And while I’m definitely still doing what I can to work on my health and fitness, here’s the word that means the most to me in this season – CAPABLE.

Our family went on spring break and I was able to keep up with my kids skiing, hiking, riding quads, riding bikes and climbing boulders to find waterfalls.

The sheer joy on our faces is genuine! Time together – in the beautiful outdoors, skiing which is one of our all time favorite things to do together. The conditions weren’t ideal but we pushed ourselves and had a blast.

The upside of the warm weather is that we enjoyed snow and hiked in the same trip.

Climbing up fallen trees and finding waterfalls are my favorite thing in the world! Doing it with my family is just all the more amazing! Wish it was easier to add more pics because there are some hilarious ones of my son trying to climb up and needing my daughter to pull him up and all you can see is his hand reaching up beyond the rock.

What are you doing about your mindset lately? What thoughts do you find running through your mind on automatic replay? What would you like to change about that? It’s up to you but we’d love to jump into the conversation with you!

Blessings,

Amy and the MOT team
