Are you sick or is your body actually doing it’s job perfectly?
When something feels like a cold coming on, it’s not always an invader… sometimes it’s your brilliant body doing a deep clean. A little science-y truth bomb for you: it takes about a pint of mucus to neutralize a single teaspoon of acid. Wild, right? That’s why hydration becomes non-negotiable — water is the “highway” your lymph, fascia, and detox pathways use to move the junk out.

Here are some of my favorite ways to support that natural cleansing cycle:
✨ 1. Hydration like it’s your job
Think electrolytes, warm water, herbal teas. Your body is working hard, so give it the fluid it needs to clear acidity and flush toxins.
✨ 2. Lymphatic massage = immune system booster
Your lymph doesn’t have a pump — you are the pump.
Gentle lymphatic work helps decongest tissues, reduce inflammation, and get that stagnant fluid moving so your immune system can do what it does best.
✨ 3. Sauna or heat therapy
Heat increases circulation, loosens fascial restrictions, and encourages your body to sweat out what it doesn’t need. It’s supportive, not stressful, when you’re listening to your body.
✨ 4. Gentle stretching & movement
Even light mobility work keeps circulation and lymph flowing.
Think slow, juicy stretches versus going beast-mode at the gym.
✨ 5. Soup, rest, and vitamins
Your nervous system heals when you’re resting, not rushing.
Warm broths, nutrient-rich soups, extra sleep, and the vitamins you love all give your body raw materials to repair.
✨ 6. Greens powder for alkalinity
Most of us run a little acidic thanks to stress, processed food, and life. A good greens powder can help shift your internal environment to one that feels less inflamed and more resilient.

🤯Pro Tip (warning – you won’t like this one) Avoid Sugar which is also highly acidic and fuels illness.
❌This is NOT in place of avoiding medicine or being seen, particularly if you have a fever, significantly colored drainage or are not improving with the above supports. ❌
Stay tuned as next week we get into some of the other aspects of keeping your body whole and healthy this holiday season.
🙌Hint: we’re going deeper!

Much love and blessings this precious season,
