Well Facial indicates our actual faces – like the front of your head with your eyes, nose and mouth.
Fascial refers to our fascia – which is all of our connective tissue, the system more pervasive than our skin – that literally influences everything in our body.
I might be known mostly for being a pelvic floor therapist but I focus on the fascial system ALWAYS!
Hopefully you’ve seen the last 2 wellness wednesday emails where I’ve been talking about the awesome areas of our bodies where it seems like God almost copied and pasted. From our sphenoid (inside the skull) to our pelvis and then our throat anatomy and vaginal canal – so many similarities and parallels.
There are a lot of reasons I treat the whole body and today I’m so excited to be able to share these images with you. This client is suffering with significant inflammation and allergies with congestion and headaches. They initially put her on some medication and supplements. The white spot on the left is infection near her eye.
After more than 4 weeks of treating her allergies and taking the meds and vitamins, there is some definite improvement from left to right with white spot gone, less orange inflammation and more calm yellow and green. But when you scroll down you will see the image after only 1 40 minute session with 3 techniques done using fascial cranial releases. I only worked on her cheekbones, frontal bone and sphenoid. We didn’t even do any intraoral work – that’s next session. Stay tuned for other updates.

| This scan was amazing validation of the power of this work and goes with my favorite client quote from last week – “I had no idea my pelvic PT could fix my knee and my migraines”. So just to clarify – I treat the whole body as needed and you have only 1 face and facial area but your fascia goes throughout your whole body.
