Flexibility is critical for avoiding injury. When our spine moves well, our nerves and muscles are happier. Keeping our center nice and mobile also avoids extra strain on our hips and shoulders. This is one of my favorite movements for doing just that!

Painful shoulders are often due to tight upper backs, ribs and shoulder blades not moving well. Hip or sacral pain is often because the lumbar spine and psoas area get tight, which then requires the hips to do too much. A mobile spine is also good for reducing overall tension, better sleeping and better breathing! Try it and let us know what you notice!
